Macedonia's futsal national team will travel to Lithuania tomorrow after a mini training camp in Skopje, where from 9 to 12 April they will take part in the first round of qualifying for the FIFA Futsal World Cup.<\/p>\n

National team head coach Gazmend Hisejini will have 15 players at his disposal, all of whom are entering the battle for a continued pursuit of a place at the World Cup fully prepared.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will hold two training sessions in Skopje before leaving for Lithuania. It is good that all the called-up players reported for duty and that I can count on everyone who was expected to feature in this qualifying cycle. I am satisfied with the players\u201d form and expect us to finish in the top two positions, which lead to the next phase,\u201d said head coach Hisejini.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In addition to the hosts, our opponents will be the national teams of Turkey and Bulgaria.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn paper, Lithuania are the favourites. They are a team that took part in the last European Championship, which says enough about the quality of our direct competitors for first place. Regardless of this fact, we have no intention of surrendering in advance and will try to record victories in all three matches and win first place in the group,\u201d continued the futsal national team head coach.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Macedonia are the favourites in the duels with Bulgaria and Turkey, but that must be proven on the pitch.<\/p>\n

\u201cLately, it has been difficult to say that any opponents are underdogs and that victories can be achieved without major difficulty. The quality of all national teams in Europe is improving. Nevertheless, I believe that at the moment we are better than Turkey and Bulgaria, and I expect that after two victories at the start, we will decide first place in the final round in the match against Lithuania. Ahead of that match, we have a day off, which means we will enter the encounter with the tournament hosts fully prepared,\u201d Hisejini concluded.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Our first opponent on the 9th is Bulgaria, with kick-off scheduled for 16:30. The following day, at the same time, we will face Turkey, while on the 12th we will take on hosts Lithuania, with the match starting at 17:30.<\/p>\n
