Today, Pelister and Vardar will play yet another fateful encounter. All the conditions are in place for a new football spectacle: floodlights, a great atmosphere in the stands, home and visiting supporters, and, of course, vital points for both sides.<\/p>\n<p>Victory is imperative for both rivals. Vardar need it to remain leaders in their title bid and maintain their points advantage over second-placed Shkendija, while Pelister need it so that the people of Bitola can finally breathe a little easier under the threat of relegation to a lower tier.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that the two clubs are currently on diametrically opposite sides of the table means nothing, nor has it ever meant anything in these encounters. Quite simply, the derby is a clash in which absolutely nothing matters more than victory over the eternal rival.
