In the penultimate, 32nd round of the First Macedonian Football League, Pelister from Bitola will visit Tikvesh.<\/p>\n

Given that the \u201egreen-and-whites\u201c are involved in a fierce battle for survival, their six-point advantage over direct rivals Makedonija GP and Rabotnichki currently only suggests that the Bitola side will not be among the three teams that will be directly relegated to the Second League, but will instead play a playoff against the second- or third-placed team. The definitive outcome will be known after the final two rounds have been played.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone has their own calculations, so our job is to focus on our own work, that is, not to concern ourselves with the calculations. Pelister is an experienced club and must behave accordingly, approaching every match with maximum respect for the opponent and discipline on the pitch. A difficult opponent is ahead of us, and their position in the table says enough, but I would still add that they have an exceptionally strong attacking line, very well-conditioned players, several internationals and several experienced footballers who have made a name for themselves in the Macedonian championship. Therefore, their results are no surprise. Our goal is to survive in the league, and as long as we have a chance to achieve that, I will ask the players to give their all on the pitch. As always, I consider discipline in our play to be a key factor,\u201d says Marjan Sekulovski, head of Pelister\u2019s coaching staff.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These two clubs played in Kavadarci two months ago, and the match ended 1:0 in favour of the hosts. Tikvesh have 44 points and sit fifth in the table, behind the \u201etop four\u201c that pulled away in the autumn half of the championship (Vardar, Shkendija, Struga and Sileks).<\/p>\n

According to the available statistics, these two teams have played 11 times in Kavadarci, with the hosts winning six times, while the Bitola side have won four times, and the duel has ended in a draw just once. Of Tikvesh\u2019s six victories, only four were achieved in the PMFL, one in the Second League and one in a friendly match, which gives a more balanced picture of the results so far (four wins for each side and one draw).<\/p>\n
