The Disciplinary Commission of the Football Federation of Macedonia, after reviewing the official reports and official information related to the final match of the Macedonia Cup between FC Sileks and FC Shk\u00ebndija, adopted the following decisions:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Initiation of disciplinary proceedings against FC Shk\u00ebndija AD for failing to respect the national anthem, booing it and failing to stand while it was being played by the club\u2019s supporters.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Initiation of disciplinary proceedings against FC Shk\u00ebndija AD for the use of pyrotechnic devices throughout the entire match (34 large flares, 19 small flares, 8 cannon shots, 14 two-colour flares).<\/p>\n
\u2013 Initiation of disciplinary proceedings against FC Shk\u00ebndija AD for nationalist chanting.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Initiation of disciplinary proceedings against FC Shk\u00ebndija AD for displaying flags with offensive and prohibited content, as well as displaying a flag with Nazi content, for which they had already been sanctioned by UEFA.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Initiation of disciplinary proceedings against FC Shk\u00ebndija AD for chants containing offensive content directed at FFM.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Initiation of disciplinary proceedings against FC Shk\u00ebndija AD for refusing to accept the medals, as well as for the improper and degrading conduct of the club\u2019s players and officials during the ceremony following the end of the match.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Initiation of disciplinary proceedings against FC Sileks AD for nationalist shouts and the use of pyrotechnic devices.<\/p>\n
The Football Federation of Macedonia expresses serious concern and disappointment over the conduct of some of the participants in the match, particularly the actions of the officials of FC Shk\u00ebndija and the footballers, which directly damage the reputation of Macedonian football and the dignity of a final that should be a celebration of sport.<\/p>\n
FFM made maximum organisational efforts to ensure that the match took place in a fair, sporting and dignified atmosphere, with high security and organisational standards. Instead, the public witnessed improper and irresponsible conduct that must have no place on football pitches.<\/p>\n
It is unacceptable for officials and individuals, instead of contributing to easing tensions, to create an atmosphere of division, provocation and the continuous search for excuses for their own failures, incompetence and ignorance.<\/p>\n
Money and wealth do not mean possessing sporting and general culture. Football and sport in general require respect, responsibility and fair play, not provocation, insults and the encouragement of improper conduct.<\/p>\n
The Commission determined that the conduct of FC Shk\u00ebndija\u2019s representatives expressed direct contempt for the Football Federation of Macedonia as the organiser and governing body of the competition, through the belittling of the official protocol and the institution organising the competition.<\/p>\n
At the same time, by refusing to participate in the medal presentation ceremony, disrespect was also shown towards the opposing team, as such conduct constitutes a de facto failure to recognise the result and belittles the sporting achievement.<\/p>\n
FFM considers FC Shk\u00ebndija\u2019s latest statement wholly unacceptable, unfounded and in obvious contradiction with the established facts, with content that constitutes an insult to the common sense and intelligence of the sporting public.<\/p>\n
The Football Federation of Macedonia remains firmly committed to consistently sanctioning all forms of improper conduct, regardless of the club, individual or position involved.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
