Macedonia's Under-21 national team ended its UEFA European Championship 2027 qualifying campaign with a defeat. Head coach Aleksandar Tanevski's side lost 2-0 away to Sweden.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Svensson, while N'Djie scored the second goal in the 52nd minute to set the final score at 2-0.

Macedonia collected seven points in the qualifying cycle and finished fifth in the group, competing against Italy, Poland, Sweden, Montenegro and Armenia.

The seven points came from two victories over Armenia (2-1 and 2-0) and a draw against Montenegro (1-1) in Bitola.

Italy won the group with 27 points, the same total as Poland, but the Azzurri secured first place and qualification for the European Championship thanks to their superior head-to-head record.
