The Macedonian national football team played a 1:1 draw against Kazakhstan at the Todor Proeski Arena in Skopje. After the eighth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Macedonia is in second place with 13 points, behind Belgium, which is the leader with 14.<\/p>\n

Blagoja Milevski's team had several chances in the first half, but failed to score. In the 54th minute, Kazakhstan unexpectedly took the lead with a goal from Karaman, and in the 74th minute, Enis Bardi equalized with a beautifully executed free kick.<\/p>\n

In the 19th minute, the visitors had their first serious opportunity. A cross from the left side bounced over Stole Dimitrievski, and striker Chesnokov headed over the crossbar.<\/p>\n

Three minutes later, Kenzhebek threatened with a long-range shot, but it went straight into the well-placed Stole Dimitrievski.<\/p>\n

In the 24th minute, Macedonia had its first good chance. Alioski crossed from the left, Milan Ristovski headed the ball, but Sejsen saved.<\/p>\n

The most serious opportunity for Macedonia in the first half occurred in the 34th minute. Bojan Ilievski crossed from the right, Milan Ristovski took a volley, but the Kazakhstan goalkeeper saved and kicked it out for a corner. After the corner, Milan Ristovski again threatened with a header, but Sejsen managed to save.<\/p>\n

Macedonia started the second half with a strong offensive. Coach Blagoja Milevski included Kostadinov and \u010curlinov in the game, withdrawing Velkovski and Miovski.<\/p>\n

In the 52nd minute, a great cross from Bojan Ilievski to Milan Ristovski, who volleyed the ball, but goalkeeper Seisen blocked it again.<\/p>\n

The penalty came on the opposite side \u2013 Kazakhstan took the lead in the 54th minute.<\/p>\n

Dinmuhamed Karaman took advantage of a mix-up in the penalty area and scored a close-range shot into Stole Dimitrievski's net.<\/p>\n

Six minutes later, Macedonia had a chance to equalize. Bardi was played down the right side, crossed the ball into the box, but Tiho Kostadinov failed to convert from a promising position.<\/p>\n

What Kostadinov failed to do, captain Enis Bardi did. In the 74th minute, a free kick was awarded 30 meters from the Kazakhstan goal, Bardi set up the ball and sent a missile into the top corner, and Seisen was powerless.<\/p>\n

In the 84th minute, Macedonia had a chance to turn the game around. Elmas played Trajkovski, who had \u010curlinov on his right, but he tried to shoot and missed.<\/p>\n

In the final moments, Nikola Serafimov also had a great opportunity, but he shot wide of the goal.<\/p>\n

In the end, a draw for Macedonia in the home match with Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n
