The head coach of the Macedonian national football team, Blagoja Milevski, announced the list of players called up for the friendly matches against Latvia (13.11.) and Wales (18.11.) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.<\/p>\n

"The list is almost identical to the previous one, with the addition of Dimoski, Trapanovski and Qamili, who were not with us in October. I hope everyone will remain healthy and ready for the call-up on Monday. We have a friendly match with Latvia and the last qualifying match against Wales ahead of us, a good opportunity for mini-preparations before the important challenge."<\/p>\n

I had no complaints after the match with Kazakhstan, everyone played at a high level. The changes during the match were tactical, in the team's interest. We will use the match with Latvia to give a chance to players with less playing time and to try out certain ideas, of course, it is also important for the FIFA ranking and the future draw.<\/p>\n

Regardless of the fact that a small number of players have continuous playing time in their clubs, they always give their maximum in the Macedonian jersey. For me, they are phenomena. To play at this level without rhythm is a matter of respect. Everyone has earned their place in the national team.<\/p>\n

"I'm sorry that Alioski will be missing, he is important for us, but this is a chance for others to assert themselves. We are going against Wales with the same approach, without calculations, with the desire to win and prove that Macedonia is rightfully among the most competitive in the World Cup play-offs," said coach Milevski.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The national team's meeting is scheduled for November 10. In the 2026 World Cup qualifying table, Macedonia is in second place with 13 points, one less than the leader Belgium. Wales is in third place with 10 points and a game less than our best team.<\/p>\n
