FK Shkendija issued the well-known statement today that when points are lost, it is the referees, the federation, or the grass on the field that are to blame.
It is interesting that this season in the First MFL, the club from Tetovo is statistically one of the most protected, with practically no serious refereeing errors in their matches. This is a fact that has long been no secret, known to both the football public and the clubs.
But that is obviously not a problem as long as the results are in their favor. Like last year, for example, when it was the scandalous refereeing decisions in the match with Tikvesh that allowed them to reach the title. The "birds" know that too. At that time, of course, there were no announcements, nor any concerns about the "integrity" of the competition.
Today, after the draw with Brera, an alibi is being sought again. The same referees, who are supposedly the problem today, "allowed" Shkendija to win in the last minute in Kratovo about ten days ago, as well as against Vardar last round. But then, apparently, everything was fine.
In its statement, Shkendija also mentions the Sileks - Vardar match, although it is symptomatic that it was Sileks, as a direct participant in that match, that did not complain about the refereeing at all.
It is also interesting that there was not a single word of reaction from Tetovo when referees were attacked with scalpels and hit with coins and lighters at their stadium. At that time, there was obviously no need for announcements and concerns about referee protection.
It is obvious that this announcement was directed by the well-known duo at the club, Ljulzim Imeri and Besnik Ibraimi. The duo who, in the last three meetings with the federation's leadership, were more interested in the interests of other clubs than their own.
Shkendija as a club, with a serious sponsor and investments like Ekolog, deserves much more responsible and serious management, not this style of communication that is reduced to pressure, alibis, and constant attempts to create conspiracy theories.
Arrogance in club management and the constant "look down" on everyone else in the league do not lead to success, but to the complete opposite.
Since they're already announcing that they'll contact UEFA, feel free. We'll help with that intention and provide all the statistics and video analysis from Shkendija's matches, so let's see how "damaged" the club from Tetovo really is.
This FFM leadership has no intention of succumbing to such attempts at pressure, nor to announcements that appear every time someone loses points. Such methods have long been familiar in Macedonian football and will not change anything.
FFM will continue to protect only the integrity of the competition, without privileged and untouchables. The rules apply to everyone, without exception. Any incident will be sanctioned. As for everyone, so for you. Be assured of that.
