On the second day of the girls’ U15 development tournament in Strumica, the Macedonia national team was defeated 3:1 by Montenegro.
Our national team took the lead through a goal by Jonida Lika in the 16th minute. In the second half, Montenegro equalised through Jelena Sarić in the 65th minute.
Leticija Habibović put Montenegro ahead 2:1 in the 81st minute, while Sarić scored in the very closing stages of the match to make it 3:1.
In the second match, Turkey defeated Moldova 6-0, with all the goals scored in the first half.
Mari Nila Sulivan scored a hat-trick, while Meyra Ferik, Su Belinay Tunçel and Lina Buhan also got on the scoresheet.
After two matches, Turkey lead with two wins, while Montenegro and Moldova share second place, with Macedonia bottom without a win so far in the tournament.
The final matches are scheduled for Wednesday, starting at 11.00. Macedonia will host Turkey at the Kukush Stadium in Turnovo, while Montenegro and Moldova will play their final match at the Pandev Stadium in Strumica.
