The Macedonian U-21 national team arrived in Belek, Antalya today, where it will hold preparations under the leadership of new coach Goran Stanić.
As part of these preparations in Antalya, our young national team will also play two test matches against Belarus and Azerbaijan.
We will play the first friendly match with Belarus on March 21st, starting at 4:00 PM. On March 25th, starting at 6:00 PM, we will play against Azerbaijan.
Septemvri Sofia striker and member of our U-21 national team, Nikola Velichkovski, gave his opinion and comments on the upcoming challenges that await our football players.
– Today we had our first joint training. We want to represent our country with pride and dignity. We are all ready to give our best and leave our hearts on the field for the jersey with the national emblem.
– This national team possesses quality, many of the players currently in Antalya for training were in the under-19 national team, which a year ago managed to achieve great success by qualifying for the Elite Round of the European Championship.
– It is a great honor and pleasure to play and defend the colors of our country. We have an excellent coach and coaching staff who possess exceptionally great experience and knowledge that can bring us great benefits.
-We will enter every match maximally engaged and disciplined. We must be completely focused on training and the matches themselves.
-We have a great atmosphere, we know each other well and we wish each other success. We have a tough qualifying group in which we will face national teams that are at the very top of European football.
-We are highly motivated, we can and want to compete and outplay any national team. We have quality and strong character, I am sure we will prove that on the field.
– In these difficult moments for our country, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families of those who died in this great tragedy.
Our young national team officially completed its first training session today at 6:00 PM and started preparations in Antalya.
