In the 11th round of the First Macedonian Football League, Shkëndija host old rivals Vardar in a battle for prestige and another three crucial points.
The Tetovo side enter this clash with a clear tactical plan — to repeat the recipe from the second round, when they secured a convincing 2-0 victory in Skopje. Following the positive result against Skopje, there is an excellent atmosphere in the Shkëndija camp, while their goalkeeper, Babacar Gaye, clearly outlined his ambitions ahead of today’s clash.
„I have complete confidence in everyone in the team, but we must prove it where it matters most — on the pitch. Not only in training, but in every match and every second! We must make the most of the chances we create, because when you score goals, football becomes much easier. My primary task is to keep a clean sheet. I hope that run will start today, because that is what we have been missing in recent weeks. There is an excellent spirit within the team; we have that inner motivation which is of crucial importance, and I believe we will win all three points,“ said Gaye.
