The unbeaten streak of the Vardar team continued. Not with another triumph but with a 2:2 draw in the derby of the ninth round of the PMFL championship. Today in Skopje at the Todor Proeski Arena, Vardar and Struga Trim Lum played an excellent hundred minutes in which the guests led twice but were left without the three points in the referee's overtime.
In the ninth minute of the match, Campaore broke out alone from the right in front of Taleski, shot but there was no angle for anything more than the defense of the Vardar goalkeeper. In the 19th minute, however, the guests of the Arena took the lead after Pape Fall made a great cross, and about ten meters from the center, Struga captain Bunjamin Shabani excellently headed it. Vardar moved to the opponent's half, played more offensively, but the only noteworthy attempts from the first half were Mato and Babunski's free kick attempts at the finish, both of which went over the goal.
At halftime, "shock therapy" in the Vardar team. Four changes, and the first of them, Goran Zakarić in the 47th minute had the first attempt, near the goal. On the opposite side, Radeski tried to increase the lead to 0:2, but hit near the goal, and one of the key moments of the match followed.

Manevski, another substitute from the half, crossed, and Bojan Ilievski intervened. The referee pointed to the penalty spot, and after a VAR check on the spot, the penalty was confirmed. Rogers Mato, Vardar's top scorer at the moment, takes responsibility, but he was shooting on the right side of the goal, and Angeletti defends excellently.
The missed penalty for Mato was obviously just motivation to make a great counterattack in the 60th minute and he did a fantastic job against two defenders. With a double dribble he broke free and scored an undefended goal for 1:1.
However, the equalizer did not have much effect, because just four minutes later, on the action of Ilievski and Shabani, Compaoré perfectly jumped with his head into Vardar's goal and scored for a new guest lead, this time 1:2.
At the end of the match, Hristijan Maleski had a chance to score, but missed one-on-one with Taleski. Vardar's penalty followed, through Georgije Jankulov, who entered the penalty area from the right and scored under Angeletti, and scored in stoppage time.
