There are still four rounds remaining until the end of the domestic football championship. Shkupi are playing their final matches in the First League, given that they will compete in the Second League next season. Nevertheless, these matches are an excellent lesson and valuable experience for the young players.
One of them is Anes Bajrami, the son of the well-known former footballer and current coach Muarem Bajrami. Despite the difficult situation in the standings, the young Bajrami is showing professionalism and motivation.
„There are still a few rounds remaining until the end of the championship. It is already certain that we will be part of the Second League from next year, but that does not change our commitment. I am extremely pleased with my teammates and the coach for all the sacrifices we have made so far. We are trying to give our all in every match and want to use every remaining minute to enjoy football until the very end of the season,“ Bajrami said.
While Shkupi are playing for pride and to give their young players valuable experience, their next opponents, Makedonija Gj.P., have an imperative to win. The „Lions“ desperately need points to secure their survival and remain in the First League.
This will be the 33rd meeting between these two teams. Although Makedonija Gj.P. are considered favourites due to home advantage, tradition is on Shkupi’s side, with 11 wins. Makedonija Gj.P. have won 8 matches, while 14 games have ended in draws (including the 2021 Cup quarter-final).
The Shkupi – Makedonija Gj.P. match will be played at the stadium in Petrov, kicking off at 16:00.
