The start of the new season of the First MFL did not go well for AP Brera, who were "torpedoed" in Kratovo after being left with a player less. The coach of the Strumica team, Pance Stojanov, reveals that he told his young players that this match would not be connected to the previous one and that he asked them to forget it.
"That's behind us, we analyzed what happened and made the necessary corrections. I know that the team is well prepared, but they will have to give their maximum if we want to keep the points in Strumica. Pelister is a strong team, they have an excellent coach who I respect, but we are also prepared. We are looking forward and will go for a positive result, but only with complete commitment can we achieve victory. We have a young team, maybe two-thirds are players under 20, but they will have to work on their concentration and not allow themselves to fall. Our roster is the same, there will definitely be changes due to Velichkovski's red card, but the most important thing is to demonstrate a new approach," says Stojanov.
Captain Filip Antovski also agrees with the coach, who is clear that Pelister will play as much as he and his teammates allow.
"The moment with the unfortunate red card dominated the first round, despite the fact that this is a team that has national team players, but it is still in the formation phase. It was not indifferent to us! We are moving forward, our next rival is Pelister. We know that we play in the First League, there are no weak teams here, but we believe that we will be better from one match to the next. I am not thinking of anything specific here, but in all areas, both defensively and offensively. The opponent will play as much as we allow them to. I expect it to be an interesting match, we are a young team and that has its weaknesses, but it also has its strengths, so we will try to use them to our advantage," said captain Antovski.
The match in Strumica will be played on Monday, starting at 5:00 PM.
