Donation of sports and technical equipment for the clubs of Regional Football Association One – Skopje

As part of the initiative of the Regional Football Union One – Skopje, football clubs from the region were presented today with sports equipment (1,000 tracksuits, 400 jerseys and 680 footballs), technical equipment (40 laptop computers and printers), as well as a lawnmower and trimmers, with the support of the Football Federation of Macedonia and the municipalities of Ilinden, Gazi Baba and Petrovec.

The event was attended by the president of the FFM, Masar Omeragić, the president of the Regional Football Union One – Skopje, Darko Kostovski, as well as the mayors of Ilinden, Gazi Baba and Petrovec, Aleksandar Georgievski, Boban Stefkovski and Borce Mitevski.

The sports equipment is intended for ŽFK Ržaničino, FK Fortuna, FK Aerodrom, FK Marino, FK Ilinden, FK Goce Delčev, FK Madžari Solidarnost, FK Dolno Konjari and FK Petrovec.

„Football begins with the clubs and the people who work with children every day. That is why our support must be concrete and directed where it is most needed. Strong regions mean strong clubs, and strong clubs are the foundation for the future of Macedonian football. This is exactly how we want to build football, through partnership and investments that reach the pitch directly. The support that the clubs and teams from the region receive from the local authorities also means a great deal, and we are grateful for that,“, said the president of the FFM, Masar Omeragić.

The president of the RFU One – Skopje, Darko Kostovski, stressed that supporting clubs is a priority for the regional union.

„Our goal is for clubs to feel that they have genuine support and that they are not alone in the work they do. This equipment is practical assistance, but also a message that investment in clubs, especially youth categories, must be continuous. Thanks to the FFM and the municipalities that recognised the importance of this initiative. When we all work together, football benefits the most,“ Kostovski said.

The initiative is another step towards improving working conditions for clubs and creating a better environment for the development of young footballers in the region.

The mayors of the Municipality of Ilinden, Aleksandar Georgievski, the Municipality of Gazi Baba, Boban Stefkovski, and the Municipality of Petrovec, Borce Mitevski, highlighted the importance of continuous support for local football clubs and young athletes, stressing that investment in sport is investment in healthy and active generations.

„When we invest in sport, we invest in our children and in the future of the community. Clubs are places where young people not only learn to play football, but also learn discipline, teamwork, responsibility and respect. That is why support must be concrete and continuous. Today’s initiative is a fine example of how, through joint work by the FFM, the regional association, the municipalities and the clubs, we can create better conditions and more opportunities for young people to be on the pitch. Our message is clear: sport deserves support, and football deserves even more children on the pitches,“ said the mayors of the municipalities of Ilinden, Gazi Baba and Petrovec.

The goal we are jointly striving towards is simple: more children on the pitch, better conditions for clubs and a stronger foundation for the future of Macedonian football.
