The Macedonian U-19 futsal team recorded a significant victory over Gibraltar with a score of 3:1 in the first match of the pre-qualifying tournament for placement in the main round of the qualifications for the European Championship in Moldova 2025.
Coach Zoran Lekic's team played a good match, justified their role as favorites and achieved a well-deserved victory over Gibraltar.
David Tonevski opened the score of the match. Mario Janev increased it to 2:0. The opponent managed to reduce the lead to 2:1, but Mario Janev with his second goal restored the two-goal lead and set the final score to 3:1.
In the final round of the tournament, Macedonia will play host Estonia.
