Our Filip Popovski received another great recognition from UEFA with his engagement as a delegate for last night's mega-derby from the group stage in the Champions League between Real Madrid and Manchester City at the "Santiago Bernabeu". The prestigious engagement is a strong confirmation of the reputation of Macedonian football professionals and the Football Federation of Macedonia in European football structures.
Popovski remains one of the highest-ranking Macedonian representatives in UEFA, regularly engaged as a delegate at top international competitions. The former head of operations at the "House of Football" was also a delegate at the final match of the last European Championship, a recognition that confirms his long-standing experience and the trust he enjoys.
During his stay in Madrid, Popovski was welcomed by the legendary Emilio Butragueño, in charge of the protocol of Real Madrid. The legendary footballer of the "Royal Club" fondly recalled the hospitality in Macedonia and the warm Skopje summer during the UEFA Super Cup 2017. The conversation also brought back memories of Kiril Dojchinovski, who was Butragueño's coach in Mexico, and later they met again in Skopje.
