Goran Stanic – Macedonia U21 national team coach;
"We will use our first joint meeting to familiarize the players with the working methods, as well as what will be required of them, both in training and in the matches themselves."
Players from our championship who have the most minutes in their clubs have been invited. We have also invited several players from abroad who we believe can raise the quality of our national team. Certain players who were not invited to this meeting, but are potential national team candidates, will get the opportunity at the next meeting at the end of May.
I expect that the ideas that we as the coaching staff have will be quickly understood by the players themselves and effectively implemented on the pitch. We will do our best to be as prepared as possible for the European Championship qualifiers, which will start in September.
"As part of these preparations, we will play two matches against Belarus and Azerbaijan. In both matches, the focus will be on our game. I hope that all the tactical ideas that we will work on during the preparations will be implemented on the field."
We start the qualifiers for the 2027 European Championship in Albania and Serbia at the beginning of September. In the first round, we play against Poland away. In the second round, we welcome the strong Italian national team at home.
The gathering of the Macedonian U-21 national team will be on March 16th, at Hotel Park, Skopje at 6:30 PM.
