The Latvians won in the second match against the U-16 national team.

The Latvian national team defeated the Macedonian U-16 team 2:0 in the second friendly match.

Coach Ilami Iseni decided to make a number of changes to the starting lineup for today's match, all with the aim of giving a chance to all the players called up for these matches.

The Latvians were a better opponent today and deservedly achieved victory, although Iseni's players also had several chances to score against the visitors.

The first goal was scored in the fifth minute, and the scorer was Adrians Kurakins.

Just seven minutes later, Matej Bočeski's attempt was saved by goalkeeper Ivanauskas, while in the 31st minute, Kosta Georgievski hit the post from the opponent's goal.

At the beginning of the second half in the 54th minute, Ilija Aksentiev had a great chance to equalize, but Ivanauskas saved his net.

In the 69th minute, Andris Aizsilnieks increased the lead to 2:0 and set the final score. Towards the end of the match, Macedonia had a chance to score, but Marin Krstevski's shot from close range went over the goal.
