The Macedonian U17 national team played a 2:2 draw against the corresponding Scottish team in an exciting and open match within the first round of the qualifying tournament for placement in the A League qualifiers for the E.P.
Coach Dimitar Kapinkovski's team played a good match against the tournament host, especially in the first half, in which we deservedly had a 1:0 advantage. The scorer of the leading goal for Macedonia in today's match was Kristijan Markovski in the 40th minute.
In the second half, the opponent imposed the initiative and managed to make a complete turnaround. Boyd at the very start of the second half, in the 52nd minute, shot to equalize the score. In the 80th minute, Hogarth managed to score for a complete turnaround and Scotland's lead of 2:1. Our young players managed to quickly return to the game and equalize the score. Laurent Jacqu in the 83rd minute made an excellent pressure on the opponent's defense and managed to take advantage of the mistake of the Scotland goalkeeper, scoring a goal for 2:2.
In the second match of our group, the Romanian national team defeated Liechtenstein with an incredible 10:0.
