The Macedonian U-21 national team has begun preparations for the upcoming matches of the October qualifying cycle for the 2027 European Championship.
On October 10, as part of the 3rd round, our selection will welcome the Armenian national team in Bitola at the "Petar Miloševski" stadium, while on October 14 in Tuzi it will host Montenegro. The coach of our national team, Goran Stanić, will not be able to count on two players, Muhamed Elmas from Macedonia G.P. and Dzezair Avduli from Arsimi, due to injury.
Midfielder Teodor Nikolovski believes that the team will be maximally focused on preparations and matches, and believes that concentration in the finals will not be lacking this time.
"We have two tough matches ahead of us against Armenia and Montenegro. We are fully focused and prepared for the upcoming challenges. I hope we will fulfill all the requirements of the coach and the coaching staff and achieve a positive result. In the previous two qualifying matches, despite the defeats, I don't think we played badly. We had good moments and created several serious scoring opportunities, but we lacked more concentration in the final moments. We are aware of where we went wrong and I believe we will correct our mistakes in the next matches."

Kire Stojanov from AP Brera says he expects his first win against Armenia. A positive result streak is needed to remain competitive in the qualifiers.
"I expect us to give our maximum in these two matches and, after the two defeats, to achieve our first home victory against the Armenian national team. The defeats against Poland and Italy were a great experience from which we learned important lessons. The goals we conceded were the result of our mistakes. We are going game by game and we want to win as many points as possible. The atmosphere in the national team is excellent, we are working hard and at a high level together with the entire coaching staff."
