Macedonia U21 marks start of preparations for duels with Kosovo. Gjorge Dzekov: We have quality, but we need to prove it on the field | FFM

The Macedonian U-21 national team officially started preparations today for the upcoming two friendly matches against the Kosovo national team.

Our football players held their first training session at the Boris Trajkovski Stadium in Madzari.

One of the key players in Sileks' defense and a member of the under-21 national team, Gjorge Dzekov, gave his comments on the start of preparations and the two friendly matches with Kosovo.

– I believe that each of us will give our maximum to these preparations, considering that they are the last ones before the start of the qualifying cycle for the European Championship.

– We have a positive period behind us, we have done good preparations in Antalya. Kosovo is a good team and a difficult opponent, but we want to achieve a positive result in both matches.

– I think we showed in the previous two friendly matches in Antalya that we have quality as a team. The European Championship qualifiers are ahead of us, I believe we can achieve a good placement.

– The training and preparations themselves are at a highly professional level, we have excellent communication and cooperation with the coach and his professional team.

– We will put in a lot of effort, struggle and dedication during the period ahead, all with one goal, to be maximally prepared for the start of the qualifiers.

The Macedonian U21 national team will play its first friendly match against Kosovo in Pristina on May 28, starting at 7 p.m. The second friendly match on the schedule is on May 31, in Skopje, starting at 3 p.m.
