The Macedonian U-21 national team officially began preparations for the October qualifying round for the European Championship in Skopje.
Our national team will host Moldova on October 11 at the "Petar Miloševski" training center. On October 15, we will play away against the Georgian national team.
The coach of Macedonia U-21 gave his comments on the upcoming challenges for his national team.
-We are looking forward to the match against Moldova with special desire and motivation, considering what happened in our first match together, where we suffered an unfortunate defeat.
-I hope and believe that we will manage to play with quality, fighting spirit and maximum sacrifice, achieving victory against a difficult rival. There is certainly no easy opponent in these qualifiers and no match can be won easily, and that will be the case in the next duels against Moldova and Georgia.
-For this gathering, the playing staff will undergo changes. To our great pleasure, two of our players, Mario Ilievski and Andrej Stojchevski, have been called up to the A national team of Macedonia. We have 10 players who have been the leaders of this generation for a long time and 10 young players who we will slowly prepare for the next qualifying cycle that is coming.
-As for Georgia, we are expecting a tough match, in which we will get a true picture of our team.
-Every call-up to the national team is a great motivation in itself. Players need to understand that the national team always comes first and they need to play and fight for Macedonia with great desire and dedication, no matter who the opponent is on the other side.
