Makedonija Gjorce Petrov, despite their unenviable position in the standings, officially lost their chances of survival in the First Macedonian Football League following their latest defeat to Tikvesh. Bobi Bozinovski’s team were beaten by the Kavadarci side in the previous round, which left them without even a theoretical chance of securing survival in the elite division.
Although Makedonija GP strung together two significant victories over Rabotnicki and Shkupi towards the end of the season and brought uncertainty to the survival battle, the defeat to Tikvesh ended the hopes of the team from Gjorce Petrov.
This afternoon, Makedonija GP will face Bashkimi at a neutral venue in Gostivar due to the suspension of the stadium in Kumanovo. The match kicks off at 16:00.
Makedonija GP have not beaten Bashkimi this season. The Kumanovo side won 2:0 at home, while the match in Gjorce Petrov ended in a 1:1 draw.
In their historical head-to-head meetings, Makedonija GP have seven victories, four matches have ended in draws, while Bashkimi have won three times.
