The start of the new season in the First MFL brings us the eternal Macedonian derby between Vardar and Pelister. The two biggest Macedonian rivals will meet tomorrow (Friday) at 8:00 PM at the National Arena "Todor Proeski" in Skopje.
The ambitions of both clubs at the start of the season are great, and part of them, as well as the atmosphere before the match, are conveyed to us by Vardar defender, Croatian international Mislav Matić.
"Finally, the championship we have been preparing for all summer is starting. After the successful European adventure, we are now fully focused on the domestic championship. We couldn't wish for a better start, a derby against Pelister, under the spotlight, in front of our fans. A real treat. We are focused, prepared and maximally motivated," said Matić.
The Croatian defender does not underestimate the people of Bitola and adds:
"Pelister is a tricky opponent and will certainly come to Skopje looking for a positive result. But we are Vardar, we are playing at home, in ideal conditions and we will do our best for the three points with the help of our loyal fans."
Expectations for full stands, a good atmosphere, and a match worthy of the tradition of both teams are high.
