Today at the Todor Proeski Arena in Skopje, within the ninth round of the PMFL championship, the derby between Vardar and the Struga Trim Lum team is being played. These are the two teams that have shown the most in the domestic championship so far and it is no coincidence that they are at the very top of the table.
This duel will show who is currently more capable of leading the table and setting things up before the international break.
"Yes, in my opinion this is a great opportunity to win and be first in the table during the international break that follows this match. Vardar wants that. Naturally, respect for the opponent, who undoubtedly has quality and who has actually shown it in these eight rounds so far. But I will repeat, the three points are our priority," says Filip Najdovski and adds.
"I believe and hope that our unbeaten streak will continue, even though we have two more derby matches after the break, in addition to Struga. However, such matches show the quality, which we undoubtedly possess. It is not easy to play and seek the three points in every match, in Kumanovo we failed to win even though we tried with all our might to do so. But that is behind us, we have a new challenge, and that is the Struga team. We are playing at home, in front of our fans, and we have to play better than we did in Kumanovo against Bashkimi. Then we can go into the break as leaders," says Vardar's defender Filip Najdovski.
