The documentary film "OUTRAGED" was originally shown in December 2020. The goal was
to show them
the experiences of some of the biggest names in football and to share their
thoughts on what is the best way to help in
the elimination of problems related to discrimination in football.
The use of
The materials are intended to raise awareness and involve the entire football world.
and society in the fight against discrimination.
UEFA and
the federations
use the materials as a major tool in education efforts regarding
anti-discrimination, equality and inclusion. During the work with
national associations, UEFA has ensured that the content is accessible to all
languages used in European football.
The videos and
discussions should stimulate young people to think about
discrimination, to raise issues related to this topic and to make them
engage in dialogue with the discussion participants about how
football, the community, the team, and even the individual can actively fight
against discrimination in order to create a football environment where everyone
is accepted and respected.
The children and
youth have been identified as the target audience for the potential educational package
with tools and the goal is to educate young players who are the future of
football. In addition, parents, coaches and team staff were pointed out
for key adults and important individuals who lead children and youth
players in the world of football.
OUTRAGED materials include a series
shorter videos, tools and educational materials. The process of developing the materials consisted of dividing
of the original documentary into four separate episodes and the creation of a new episode that
focuses on problems related to online abuse.
The five episodes of the series INJUSTICE represent
insights from 38 football players, coaches, referees, leaders and academics and covers the topics
of racism, sexism, discrimination against refugees, homophobia and online
abuse.
A 25-minute video has also been created, which sublimates the main
topics of the five modules.
