Pires: Sileks is ready to fight for victory against Vardar

Home field this spring has not proven to be an advantage for Sileks. The Kratovo first league team is still looking for its first win in Kratovo, after drawing against Bashkimi, and losing to Shkendija. On the other hand, out of the three matches on the away field, they have two wins and one draw, the one with Pelister in the last round when they played goalless.

Despite this, the Kratovo team is optimistic about entering the match against the table leader Vardar, hoping that this will be the beginning of a winning streak on home soil.

Miguel Pires, the Portuguese international in the Sileks ranks, believes that his team can get the points, which would reduce the gap between the Kratovo team and the first-placed team in the table.

„"The expectations are always the same from every match – three points. In the first match against them we had the feeling that with a little more luck we could have avoided defeat. Our opponent is the leader, that's because they are doing everything right. They need the points to remain the leader, and we need them to close the gap. These kinds of matches are always difficult," said Pires.

When asked if he is "afraid" of the home field, given that the Kratovo team is looking for its first victory at its stadium this spring, Pires replied:

„"The conditions on the pitch were worse, and that didn't help us to force our style of play. Now I think the conditions have improved, and that's why I expect us to start a new winning streak on home soil. The atmosphere in the team is good. If there are any matches that the players enjoy playing in, it's matches like this. So the most important thing is to be ready to fight for the three points," said the Portuguese footballer.
