Pelister succeeded in presenting itself in a different light and instead of playing a subordinate role as a team fighting for survival, they delivered a memorable game and were at times an equal or more active team on the field, but unlike Shkendija, they did not take advantage of their chances.
The club from Tetovo was shocked by Stefan Spirovski's goal in the seventh minute, but after the VAR assistance the goal was declared as regular. From that moment on, the thickening of the ranks in Shkendija began and a turnaround in which they dominated the field.
The equalizer came after a stoppage in play, when in the 21st minute, following a corner kick from Nzenge,
Ibrahimi managed to get the ball into the net. In the next chance, Fabrice Tamba's shot ended up being a bit inaccurate. The same player tried again towards the end of the half, but failed again.
Before the end of the first half, Petrovic managed to get a shot from the edge of the penalty area in a counterattack, but the ball went over the bar.
Shkendija started the second half calmly and for the first ten minutes there was almost no pressure on the visitors' goal. Suddenly, in a quick counterattack on the left side, Latifi managed to play Besart Ibraimi who instinctively beat and scored a second time for a complete turnaround.
Just two minutes later, Zejnulai entered the penalty area from the right side, but his shot was only enough for an attractive reaction from Jovcevski.
Pelister was on the offensive in the last ten minutes thanks to the relaxation of the home team, who, carried away by the cheers from the stands, went on a small exhibition, but that could have cost them dearly.
Ivanovski made the first serious threat to Shkendija's goal in the 86th minute, after he was played to the right, and his shot ended up just off the post.
Boskovski crossed the ball from the left side almost to the corner flag, finding Bulatović at the far post, who tried an attractive volley, but it was imprecise.
A Serbian in an identical situation looked for Bulatović, but the ball was intercepted and went for a corner, and after he was brought out, the play from Kerim to Milojević resulted in a shot on goal, which Babokar Geje barely stopped.
Shkendija completely left the creation of chances to the guests after the exit of Besart Ibraimi, but still the defensive players preserved the result, after which Shkendija comes with three new points to -4 from the leader Vardar and will travel to Skopje for a direct duel with the "red-blacks" that could be decisive for the championship title.
