The Macedonian national team in this year's edition of the B competition in the League of Nations has the teams of Scotland, Switzerland and Slovenia as opponents.
We have played four matches against the Scots in the past. After the 1:0 victory in the match played in Skopje in 2008, we have recorded two defeats and one draw. All four matches were played within the framework of the qualifications for participation in the World Cup.
We have played seven matches with the Slovenians and in these matches we have a positive balance. Five matches are friendly, and the one from 1993 is the most significant in our football history because it was the first appearance of our national team in independent Macedonia.
We all remember the historic goal of Zoran Boskovski, who is now part of coach Goce Sedloski's coaching staff.
Macedonia has a total of four wins, two draws and only one loss in matches against Slovenia.
Elif Elmas is the most effective player in the duels against Slovenia with three goals, and those goals were scored in the last two matches, while captain Enis Bardi scored the equalizer in the 2019 match in Ljubljana.
We have not played a single match against Switzerland so far, and in this edition of the Nations League we will add another country to the list of national teams we have faced on the international stage.
