Press conference of Vardar and Struga Trim Lum within the framework of the Macedonian Cup final | FFM

Vardar and Struga Trim Lum tomorrow from 20:00 at the National Arena "Todor Proeski" in Skopje they will face each other in the new final of the Macedonian Cup.

At today's press conference, the coaches and captains of both teams shared their expectations ahead of tomorrow's final.

Ilcho Gjorgioski – head of the coaching staff of FC Struga Trim Ljum:

– Everyone wants a Cup final before the start of the season, this is a match that has been awaited all season. We will be part of this match, and we want to win this competition. Struga is a relatively young club, in its existence it has two titles and a lost Cup final. Now we have a second chance, we want to bring the trophy to Struga. As a team, we are definitely ready, eager and motivated for tomorrow's match. We have a sufficient number of quality and experienced players who know how to handle the challenge.

-In my opinion, Vardar is the favorite in tomorrow's match. I appreciate this club a lot, as a player and coach I won titles, it's my club. However, I definitely want to win this final. Vardar will play in front of its fans, but we are ready to respond to every challenge. We will enter the match to win it. Vardar has been analyzed. They have made a competitive team and a series of victories, so they have maximum respect from our side. We know what we want and how we need to achieve the set goal.

Bunjamin Shabani – captain of FK Struga Trim Ljum:

-We are playing a very important match against Vardar. We will all give our maximum and I think that as a team we can reach the trophy. We are prepared, we are experienced players and we live for this type of matches. I think that the fact that we are playing in Skopje will not be a problem despite the ratio of fans in the stands. We have big matches behind us, even in Europe, so that is our advantage. The previous matches with Vardar mean nothing, tomorrow we play a completely new match. Nuances will decide this final.”

Goce Sedloskihead of the coaching staff of FC Vardar;

-I think Vardar is ready to give its maximum in the final. We know that we have a tough rival in front of us who was the champion last year. We look at ourselves. Vardar has been waiting for this final for so long, so we will give our maximum on this good field and with the help of the audience to achieve our goal this half-season. We want to continue with the good results of the last months and win the Cup, although we are aware that it will not be easy. If the players play like in the previous six months, I hope that the trophy will come to our showcases. We know where Vardar was in the first half of the season, but with hard work we reached fifth place. I think we deserved it, and I want to round off the good rhythm tomorrow.

Every match in these months has been a final, and this is a different match and there is pressure. We are all aware of this, if the players give their maximum, I think we can achieve success. Both we and Struga deserve this final. I hope for a good game, fair and correct, to present ourselves in a good light and to be happy. The home field is an advantage, we know what Vardar means in Macedonia and there will certainly be a lot of fans in Skopje. This is a final, both teams must be focused on their game. Struga is a quality rival and deserves respect, but we must still play this match in our own style.

Goran Zakarić – captain of FC Vardar;

-It is an honor and a pleasure to be here as the captain of Vardar. I would agree with coach Sedloski, 18 years have passed and we have a great chance to return the trophy to the club's showcase. I think that with the help of our fans we will achieve such success. I hope we will enjoy this match, we have played a lot of matches with Struga. We will prepare to the maximum and I hope we will all be happy together after the match. I have been here since the first day of the season, we had a difficult period and of course there were a lot of changes. We did top-notch preparations in January, and this unbeaten streak deserves respect, especially to the people who came later and changed things. We showed in the spring who we are and what we are, so I think that tomorrow we will give our maximum to achieve success.
