The Macedonian women's national team under 16 achieved a victory over the corresponding Bulgarian team after a better penalty shootout (4:2) in the first round of the UEFA development tournament held in Albania.
The match ended 1:1, and in the penalty shootout, coach Katerina Mileska's team was much more confident and ultimately rejoiced at their first victory in the development tournament.
The Bulgarian national team had a 1:0 lead in the 47th minute, thanks to a goal by Emma Varbanov. Ana Marija Tsvetkovska tied the score at 1:1 in the 86th minute.
In the penalty shootout, Rozita Peceva, Ana Marija Cvetkovska, Tamara Lazeska and Elena Naumovska scored for our national team. Zornitsa Koeva and Joanna Georgieva scored from the penalty spot for Bulgaria.
We will play the second match of the development tournament on April 15th against Georgia, at the same time, at 11:30 AM.
