The Macedonian national team will meet its opponents tomorrow for the upcoming edition of the League of Nations, in which our team will be part of the B segment of this competition for the first time in history.
These matches will be a new challenge for this generation of players, but also a great opportunity for coach Goce Sedloski to prepare the national team for the European Championship qualifiers that begin in 2027.
“"The teams from the first and second pots objectively enter as favorites, given their rating, experience and continuity in major competitions. But that does not mean that the outcome is known in advance. Our goal is to be competitive in every match, to impose our style and to show that Macedonia is rightfully part of League B.".
We will respect all opponents, but most of all we will believe in ourselves. If we are organized and focused from the first to the last minute, we can be a difficult opponent for anyone. We see this cycle as a new step for the progress of the national team and a chance to further confirm our quality.
"I believe that the national team will grow throughout the cycle of matches in League B and that we have a stable foundation for positive results," said the national team captain before the draw.
The draw will take place tomorrow in Brussels starting at 6 p.m. Macedonia is part of the fourth pot, which also includes the selections of Sweden, Northern Ireland and Kosovo.
Scotland, Hungary, Poland and Israel have the status of holders, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria and Ukraine are placed in the second pot, and Slovenia, Georgia, the Republic of Ireland and Romania are in the third.
