At the regular meeting of the Board of Directors
The board of the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) adopted significant
decisions related to the organization and regulations in Macedonian football.
The reforms announced by the leadership of the Football Federation of Macedonia are taking place with concrete decisions and changes in the competition system. We are changing the system from within, laying the foundations for a more functional, high-quality and stable development of the MFL.
Appointment of a new president of
Competition Commission
The FFM Board of Directors adopted
the decision to appoint Vasko Dojcinovski as President of the Commission for
competition.
New structure of
the competition system from the 2026/27 season
The proposal was unanimously accepted.

With this decision: A new competition system is being adopted in the First Division.
MFL, Second MFL and Third Regional Leagues, starting with the competitive

Increase in fees for
registration of foreign football players
With the new decision, it increases
the amount of registration fees for foreign football players, according to the following scale:
For the fifth football player/foreigner, the registration fee will be 6,500.00
euros;
For the sixth football player/foreigner, the registration fee will be 9,000.00
euros;
For the seventh football player/foreigner, the registration fee will be 11,500.00
euros;
For the eighth football player/foreigner, the registration fee will be 16,500.00
euros;
Status for players from the countries of
Open Balkans
The clubs from the First MFL will have
the right to register up to two players from the "Open Balkans" countries
(Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro), who will not be considered foreigners
upon registration.
Proposals for young categories and
footballers up to 21 years old for the 2025/26 season
The FFM Board of Directors adopted the draft decision, the Commissions that run the competitions in
organization of FFM, in preparing the propositions for the appropriate
competition, to regulate the right to play of football players in the following manner:
– In the 2025/26 competition season, the right to play as football players
All football players born on 01.01.2004 and later are under the age of 21.
– During the competition season
In 2025/26, players born between 01.01.2007 and 31.12.2009 have the right to play as youth players.
– During the competition season
In 2025/26, all football players have the right to play as cadets.

– During the competition season
In 2025/26, all footballers have the right to perform as pioneer footballers.

– During the competition season
