The Macedonian women's U17 football team was defeated by Northern Ireland 3:0 in the decisive match for first place in the group.
Abby Smith opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Emily Leacock made it 2-0 in the 26th minute, and Anna Robinson set the final score in the fourth minute of stoppage time in the second half.
The team led by Katerina Mileska eventually won second place at the tournament held in Strumica. Our hopes after victories over Georgia and Luxembourg ended the performance with six points, just behind the selection of Northern Ireland, which continues the battle for a place in the finals of the European Championship.
