The Shkendija team began their defense of the First MFL title with two victories. First, they defeated Shkupi's team with a convincing 5:1 at home, and in the second round, away at Gjorce Petrov, they won the points thanks to a 1:3 victory.
The good atmosphere in the team was also reflected in the 2:1 triumph in the first match of the Europa League play-offs against Ludogorets.
Before the second leg in Bulgaria, Shkendija welcomes Arsimi's squad at home and is considered the favorite to achieve the third triumph in the first three rounds.
However, Shkendija's players are cautious ahead of the clash with the team that has one point from the first two rounds, won in the match against Bashkimi in the first round. They say that they can sustain the pace of playing both European matches and matches in the First Division, because their wide pool of players allows them to do so.
