Two draws and two defeats have been Sileks’ record in their last four matches in the First Macedonian Football League. The team are still without a home win in the spring half of the season, and today bottom-placed Shkupi visit Kratovo. An opponent tailor-made for Sileks to return to winning ways and embark on a long winning streak that would only strengthen their fourth place in the standings.
Anything other than a Sileks victory today would be a huge surprise, given that their opponents have collected just one point. The Kratovo side say that the match against Shkupi comes at a good time, but also that they will have to perform on the pitch to claim the points.
„The expectation is to take all three points at home against Shkupi. This match comes at the right time for us. We are fresh now after the break for the national teams, and I hope that we will claim the points and then begin a long winning streak. We will not underestimate anyone; we need to go out on the pitch, carry out the tasks set for us and achieve victory,“ said Sileks defender Gjorgje Dzekov.
