The U21 national team will play Armenia tomorrow in their eighth match of this European Championship qualifying cycle.
Tomorrow’s opponents are the only team we have managed to defeat so far, and head coach Goran Stanić’s players have announced that they will record a second triumph in Yerevan.
“We are going to the match against Armenia to win three points. I believe we can achieve our objective. All the players are ready to give their maximum, and we will play at the highest level. The match against Italy was a huge experience for all of us; they are a national team fighting for first place in the group and are favourites to finish top. I believe we can defeat Armenia, but we must eliminate all the shortcomings we showed in the match against Italy, especially reducing individual errors to a minimum,” said Mateo Sofijanovski.
The match, which will be played at the training centre of the national association in Yerevan, kicks off at 15:00.
