Shkendija achieved its fourth victory in the First MFL this season, after defeating Tikvesh 1:0 at home in Tetovo. The guests put up strong resistance, played open football and created several chances, but failed to convert them, unlike the current champion.
Stojanov and Todorov announced that Tikvesh would not give up easily, but goalkeeper Gaye prevented his net from being shaken in the opening part of the match.
On the opposite side, Latifi missed a great opportunity, but in the 36th minute he created a goal-scoring chance for Sebastian Spahiu, who ran to the far post and converted, scoring his first goal in the Shkendija jersey.
Tikvesh did not accept the result in the second half either. They pressed and created several chances through Stojkoski, Sadik and Stojanov, but the conversion was again a problem, and the excellent Gaje remained an insurmountable obstacle.
Besart Ibraimi had the opportunity to increase Shkendija's lead about ten minutes before the end, but his shot was not precise enough.
In the end, Shkendija won 1-0, winning three new points, while Tikvesh will have to improve its execution to achieve better results.
