The stadium in Chair does not meet the requirements for matches from the First MFL, FC Shkupi must register an alternative field

The Football Federation of Macedonia, through the Competitions Commission, informs the public that FK Shkupi is obliged to report an alternative stadium for the match of the 4th round in the First MFL against FK Vardar scheduled for August 29 at 4:30 PM.

According to the inspection and infrastructure report, it has been determined that the stadium in Chair does not meet the minimum requirements for organizing First MFL matches, due to:

– insufficiently fulfilled security conditions for playing matches of the First MFL according to the infrastructure report;

– inadequate protective fencing on the south stand, which has holes and other unsafe elements that pose a risk to the participants in the match (football players, officials and all those present);

– unfulfilled criteria for the application of the VAR system, i.e. there is no appropriate electrical connection for the TV reporting vehicle;

– one of the three required platforms for TV cameras is unfinished, as well as unfulfilled conditions and adequate space for TV commentators;

– broken benches for substitute football players that do not provide minimum conditions for football players and club representatives;

It is worrying that during the inspection of the stadium, no official representative of FC Shkupi was present. The only representatives were the fans' group "Smugglers", who showed enthusiasm and a desire to help support the club.

However, if the club really wants to resolve the situation, it is necessary for an official representative to appear who will clearly communicate the intention and the steps that will be taken. We call on the owner and the CEO of the club to appear at the stadium in Chair and take measures for the normal functioning of FK Shkupi. FFM, as before, will do everything necessary to help the club, but at the same time we emphasize that matches, especially high-risk ones, must not be allowed to be played in such conditions.

Given the seriousness of the identified deficiencies, FC Shkupi is unable to host the stadium in Chair for the 4th round match in the First MFL against FC Vardar.

The club has an obligation to report a suitable alternative field for the match by the end of the day at the latest. The Competitions Committee hopes that during the upcoming international break, FK Shkupi will find a way to complete all the necessary work and the stadium in Chair will receive permission to organize matches from the domestic championship.
