The match between Tikvesh and Sileks, which will be played in Kavadarci today, kicking off at 15:30, continues the new 26th round of the domestic championship.
This is a duel between two teams that have had two contrasting runs of results in the spring part of the season.
Tikvesh have been thriving under their new coach Borce Hristov and are on a run of five matches without defeat, four of which have been wins. Overall, in Kavadarci, across nine rounds since the break, they have recorded just two defeats: against Shkendija and Sileks themselves. On 1 March in Kavadarci, Miguel Pires scored for 0:1, which was also the final result of that duel.
On the other hand, Sileks have had several matches this spring that can be marked as „slip-ups“. The defeats to Rabotnicki, the two draws with Pelister, as well as the one against Bashkimi, for example, cost the Kratovo side several planned points from their tally.
„Of course, we want to continue that positive run. In my opinion, Tikvesh have been playing excellent football this spring, and we need to continue in that manner. The home ground is always an advantage for us, while the fans are always our „12th“ player. There is no doubt that today we will give 100% to reach another three points and make this half-season even more successful for Tikvesh,“ says Danail Tasev.
