With Rogers Mato's goal in stoppage time, Vardar defeated Sileks 2:1. The Ugandan international converted the penalty, which was rightly awarded after a handball in the penalty area by one of the Sileks players.
With this victory, Vardar once again climbed to the top of the table after eleven rounds played.
The start of the match was marked by two serious chances by Darko Dodev, who had two breakthroughs on the left side, but was inaccurate on both occasions.
On the opposite side, after an excellent assist from Rogers Mato, captain Azer Omeragic went out alone in front of goalkeeper Dzekov and accurately scored for a 1:0 lead.
There followed a period in which Vardar tried to increase the lead, but Sileks managed to equalize. In the 14th minute, Sileks played a nice action on the left side, a part of the field that was the most dangerous in the first half. The ball reached Hrgović, who hit it hard under the bar of Taleski's goal, equalizing at 1:1.
By the end of the half, Vardar had several more attempts through Babunski, Danev and Mato, but without success.
In the second half, the first big chance came from Mislav Matić, who reacted well after a cross, but headed it directly at Dzekov.
Then came two shots by Rogers Mato, who, although active in the attack, was not having his day at those moments and shot over the goal.
About ten minutes before the end, one of the key moments of the match occurred.
Edis Spahiu stole the ball in the corner of the penalty area, after which the visiting goalkeeper Dzekov reacted with a handball outside his area. The referee correctly showed a red card, and Sileks was forced to make a substitution and continue with a man less.
Deep into extra time, Vardar was awarded a penalty after a handball by one of Sileks' defenders.
The responsibility was taken by Rogers Mato, the "red-blacks"' top scorer in the current championship, who confidently scored for a final 2:1 and another big victory for Vardar.
