The Macedonian women's national football team under 19 recorded its second victory in the qualifying tournament (Round 1, Group B5) for the UEFA European Championship, defeating the Azerbaijani team 3:1.
Our national team dominated throughout the match. Kalina Poposki opened the scoring in the 19th minute after a well-executed move, and Teona Galabovska increased the lead in the 27th minute from a penalty. Galabovska also scored the third goal in the 49th minute, culminating in an excellent game.
The visiting team managed to reduce the deficit through Jurugova in the 35th minute, but lacked the strength for a complete turnaround.
With this triumph, Macedonia takes a significant step forward in the qualifying campaign and announces the decisive match against Slovenia in the final round.
