In the shadow of the big derby between the top two teams in the table, Pelister welcomes Sileks in Bitola today, in a match that has enormous importance for the home club.
The competitors in the fight for survival, Makedonija GJP and Tikveš celebrated victories over Rabotnicki and Arsimi, which once again showed that with the exception of the first two teams, in the remaining matches almost anyone can beat anyone. With that light motive, the Bitola team enters the duel against Sileks, encouraged by the good play (especially in the second half) in the last match against Shkendija.
– In Tetovo, luck was not on our side, but I hope that today we will play at the same level. We are maximally prepared for today's match, we showed that we can outplay anyone. We analyzed the opponent and we will try an approach in which we will show maximum engagement and fighting spirit, in order to win three points and make the Bitola audience and our 12th player, "Čkembarite", happy, - says Filip Boškovski.
– In the match in Tetovo, we were missing some first-team players, so I am glad that Schweitz is now returning after his absence due to bookings and will strengthen the team. Sileks is currently fourth and regardless of the outcome of this match, it will remain there, so our chance is to show motivation and desire victory more than they do, – added the head of the coaching staff, Milan Stojanoski.
Pelister and Sileks are old first league teams and their duels are profiled in real PMFL derby matches. The Bitola team last celebrated against Sileks at the start of the 2024/25 season when they defeated the favored team 1:0. They have lost at home in friendly matches and in the Cup, but they were last defeated in the championship in 2020.
The match will start at 4 p.m. and will be played under floodlights at the "Petar Miloshevski" sports complex.
