Alimi: A draw in Tetovo is acceptable for us

The Bashkimi team leaves behind the heavy defeat by Struga Trim Lum (0:5) and with a convincing 4:0 victory against Pobeda as guests, within the 1/16 finals of the Macedonian Cup, raised optimism before the matches in the First MFL.

The Kumanovo team will visit Shkendija in Tetovo on Friday, and this match will have special meaning for captain Armend Alimi, who started his career in Bashkimi, and then was part of the Tetovo red and black team for a long period.

Alimi noted that returning to Tetovo always brings up special emotions for him, as he is playing against a club where he spent almost half of his career and which, as he says, will always have a special place in his heart.

The captain emphasized that the team had enough time to recover and analyze the mistakes from the defeat against Struga, adding that the atmosphere in the team is positive and that he expects a quality performance in the derby.

"We enter every match with the aim of winning three points, and the same will be true in Tetovo. However, we are aware that we are playing against a strong opponent and that even a draw would be acceptable for us," said Alimi.

He emphasized that Shkendija is a team with great quality and capacity, without pronounced weaknesses, but that Bashkimi's focus is on their own game and the way they will approach the match.

The match from the 5th round in the First League, between Shkendija and Bashkirs, will be played on Friday, at the stadium in Tetovo, starting at 3:30 p.m.
