AP Brera Strumica rounded off the season with a convincing 6-0 victory over Shkupi in front of their home fans. The Strumica side face a relegation play-off, while the Chair-based club are officially moving down to the Second League.
The visitors from Chair managed to offer resistance only in the first half, going into the break with a minimal 1-0 deficit. However, they completely collapsed in the second half and suffered a real debacle.
Nikola Velichkovski opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. The same player made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute, and in the 71st minute the young AP Brera forward completed his hat-trick.
Five minutes later, Viktor Velkoski got on the scoresheet to make it 4-0, while in the 90th minute Velichkovski scored his fourth goal.
In the first minute of stoppage time, Filip Mihailov found the back of Shkupi's net to make it 6-0 for the Strumica side.
The season was extremely difficult for Shkupi, primarily because of serious financial problems and transfer bans, which meant that the club played mostly with a youth squad. This situation resulted in a series of negative records that will remain recorded in the history of Macedonian football.
With just one point earned, Shkupi became the weakest team in the history of the Macedonian First Football League, breaking Tikvesh's unwanted record of three points, set in the 2000/01 season.
