Bashkimi stopped Sileks in Kumanovo with one less player

Bashkimi's team recorded its second victory at home and ended Sileks' five-game winning streak.

The hosts from Kumanovo had an easy initiative at the beginning of the match, but we saw the first real chance only in the 21st minute. After a cross from the right, Aydogan assisted Avornio, who managed to beat goalkeeper Dzekov on the second attempt for a 1:0 lead.

Bashkimi continued the pressure and just six minutes later Hodzic entered the penalty area and shot hard, but the away goalkeeper was in the right place.

In the 35th minute, after a quick counterattack by Sileks, Mirchevski assisted in the penalty area, but striker Alic failed to direct the ball towards Bashkimi's goal, as he was blocked by Fisnik Zuka.

The visitors had their best chance to equalize in the 43rd minute, when Buturović crossed into the danger zone, and Miguel Pires headed the ball towards the goal. Goalkeeper Jašar made an excellent intervention to send it to a corner. In the continuation of the action, Mirčevski shot from 20 meters, but Jašar was again sure and prevented the equalizer.

In the second half, Bashkimi continued at the same pace and in the 53rd minute managed to increase the lead. Aleksovski found himself in the right place and hit the net for 2:0.

In the 60th minute, the hosts were left with a player less, after Fisnik Zuka received a second yellow card and was sent off. Already in the first action after the sending off, Sileks reduced the score to 2:1. Dodev crossed to the far post, where Miguel Pires headed the ball unhindered.

In the 72nd minute Pires threatened again with a powerful shot from the right, but Jashar was again sure. Ten minutes later, Timovski tried from 16 meters, but the ball ended up over the bar.

In the final moments, Sileks had an ideal chance to equalize, but Mateski was not precise and the score remained 2:1.

In the 7th round, Bashkimi will be visiting Bitola against Pelister, while Sileks will welcome Struga Trim Lum in Kratovo.
