Today, the current 29th round of the domestic championship continues, with hosts Macedonia GјP facing Rabotnicki at the stadium in Gjorche Petrov.
This city derby, which kicks off at 16:00, means only one thing for both teams: earning points that will keep alive their chances of remaining in the top-flight competition.
Both teams are in a difficult position in the table. Macedonia GјP are second from bottom, 11th with 24 points, while Rabotnicki are one place higher with four more points.
„The “Lions” have gone seven rounds without a win, recording just one draw during that period, against AP Brera, and six defeats.
The last time Macedonia GјP won in the domestic championship was precisely in the match against Rabotnicki played on 4 March, also at home, when they celebrated a 3:1 victory. Adem, Stojchevski and Nikolikj were the scorers.
Now the situation is completely different and already alarming, with Macedonia GјP having just five rounds left to avoid the worst.
„Throughout this period, the Macedonia GјP camp has stated that we will fight until the end and that there will be no giving up. It is the same this time. We are going out to win and earn points, both today and in all the remaining matches until the end of the championship, and we hope for a favourable development of events for us,“ they say from Gjorche Petrov.
