The Macedonian U-21 national team is in full swing preparing for the new qualifying challenge, called the away match against Montenegro. After opening defeats to Poland and Italy, Macedonia defeated Armenia 2:1 in Bitola and won the first points in this qualifying cycle.
That is certainly a good sign considering the poor start to qualifying, but nothing is lost, there are still many points available to be won.
"The triumph against Armenia in front of the home crowd gave us the "wind at our backs" as they say. The victory came at the right moment, in the best way in front of our audience. The atmosphere is now at the highest level. There is no need for euphoria in our camp, quite the opposite. We are going to Montenegro concentrated and responsible to play another duel and win new points. As for the opponent, it is a good team, which, like any other rival, has positive but also negative sides. It is up to us to correct the technical mistakes in our game, to raise the level to another level and naturally win the points that will give us even greater stimulus and a better position in these qualifications" - said Dimitar Danev.
