FFM held its regular general assembly

Today, the Football Federation of Macedonia held its regular annual Assembly.

The Assembly was attended by 61 out of a total of 65 delegates, during which the following significant decisions were adopted:

-Final account for 2025

– The 2025 budget

– The new Statute of the FFM

– Decision authorizing the Board of Directors of FFM to adopt the FFM Development Strategy 2026-2030

UEFA and FIFA have conducted a detailed analysis of our statutory provisions and have identified areas that need to be brought into line with international standards. The joint process has identified that a significant proportion of Municipal Football Associations are non-functional or exist only formally.

Therefore, the new model envisages regionalization, a solution that will create functional structures, better representation and a higher level of transparency.

After 15 years, the Football Federation of Macedonia receives a new Statute, a document that is not just a formality, but the foundation of the systemic functioning.

The statute was developed in coordination with UEFA and FIFA, which guarantees compliance with the highest international standards. It introduces greater transparency, a clear allocation of responsibilities and a functional decision-making system. This means the end of improvisations and the beginning of institutional stability.

Masar Omeragic – President of FFM:

„"Until the last re-registration, 44,996 football players were registered in the men's competition. After the re-registration, the number of male football players is 14,210. In the next period, the exact number in the women's competition will be determined.".

That is not a small mistake. That is systemic manipulation. With the new Statute, that ends. No more clubs that exist only on paper. No more fake minutes. No more fictitious system.

In a period of just one month, from November to December 2024, one month before we took office, around 5 million euros of funds intended for the development of football were spent.

We found such a situation and did not look for an alibi. We began to restore order.

We have reduced the costs of hotels, charter flights and plane tickets alone by more than one million euros. We see where every denar goes. Because these funds are not anyone's private, they belong to football.

"What we're doing is not cosmetics. This is a transition. From a system without control, to a system with rules. From fiction, to reality.".

„"We will continue with reforms, with order and with clear rules. For football that is honest, regular and worthy of all who love it.".

In parallel with these reforms, we have begun preparing a new four-year strategy for the development of football.

Our vision is a stable, competitive and modern football, based on realistic foundations and clear rules. Football that creates players, builds clubs and restores confidence among fans.

"A system that does not depend on individuals, but functions independently, sustainably and in the interest of the sport. The goal is to increase the base starting from the youngest age, from grassroots activities all the way to professional football.".

The FFM Assembly, at its annual session today, also unanimously adopted the work reports of the FFM President and the Board of Directors for the past year, the report of the FFM Supervisory Board, as well as the reports of the legal authorities and licensing bodies for 2025. The report of the FFM administration on the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2021-2025, presented by the FFM Secretary General, Leonid Jandreoski, was also adopted.

Leonid Jandreoski – Secretary General of the FFM:

„"The past year was a significant period for the Football Federation of Macedonia. A year of work, clear direction and concrete steps towards fulfilling our vision.".

We implemented all activities in accordance with the three key strategic documents: the General Strategy, the Women's Football Strategy and the Social Sustainability Strategy. The focus was clear: infrastructure, youth, women's football and social responsibility. These are the foundations on which a stable system is built.

Our work is based on values that are not declarative, but applied. Transparency, professionalism, inclusiveness and continuous development. This process is not individual. It is shared. Clubs, coaches, players, institutions and partners all have a share in the progress we have achieved.

Despite the challenges, we remained focused and disciplined. We did not look for excuses, we looked for solutions. And those results are visible today. Transparency and trust are not options, they are a prerequisite for a stable system. Without them, there is no progress.

Good governance is the foundation of everything we do. In the past period, we have introduced a systematic approach, regular evaluations, compliance with the highest standards and direct cooperation with UEFA and FIFA.

We have strengthened the administrative structure and launched a fundamental reform of the Statute, a process led together with UEFA and FIFA, with a clear objective: a modern, functional and accountable system.".
